Today Intel introduced the world to “Bay Trail,” Intel’s first 22nm system-on-a-chip (SoC) for mobile devices. Bay Trail is a complete redesign of the Intel Atom processor series and offers performance that comes closer to Intel’s mainstream processors lines. Since Bay Trail is based on the company’s new low-power, high-performance Silvermont microarchitecture, you can expect to see roughly two to three times the performance of the current “Clover Trail” Atom with better battery life! Intel hasn’t had too many design wins in the tablet market with Clover Trail, but Intel is starting fresh and has high hopes to Bay Trail to capture a significant chunk of the Android and Windows tablet designs and even a fair number of 2 in 1 devices.

Saw this as I was getting ready to run out the door for a mini vacation...quickly ran it on one of my tablets.

Dell Latitude 10 - Intel Atom Z2760 @ 1.8 Cloverview
Sisoftware Sandra:
Sandra Memory – 3.05GB/s Aggregate
Sandra Arithmatic – 7.79GOPS Aggregate Native Performance
Sandra Multi-Media – No idea, runs out of memory...even after a clean reboot
Sandra Cryptographic Bandwidth – 70mb/s

This tablet sucks btw...

If I was at work, I could run it on the Samsung ATIV 700T or Lenovo Helix we have there....I'm going out of town for a few days so won't be able to do any checking/re-running of tests :D

Intel Bay Trail Reference Tablet w/ Intel Atom Z3770 @ up to 2.4GHz
Sisoftware Sandra:
Sandra Memory – 8.83GB/s Aggregate
Sandra Arithmatic – 17.82GOPS Aggregate Native Performance
Sandra Multi-Media – 35.9Mpix/s
Sandra Cryptographic Bandwidth – 566mb/s

Pretty huge performance gains from yours to the reference Bay Trail system. I used both when I was here at IDF and there is a night and day difference.
