So it would only cost me $25,000 (give or take a few dollars for tax, etc) to replace my 8TB WD Red drives in my NAS with these.

For massive data centers I can see it just for the sheer speed of these puppies and operating temps gotta be so much lower than physical hard drives. Still a lot of money.
