Anyone else old enough to remember RAM drives. Take part of your system memory and load a game onto it and run from there rather than a hard drive. Do they still have programs to split your system memory to do that? Is it possible now a days? With the size of the games you would need a lot of memory but would be sweet to see if performance was any better of stuck close to the pcie card times.
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:

Oh yeah... AMD for example has released a ton of 'speed of your system' software solutions...

Years ago it was RAMDisk - https://www.amd.com/en-us/products/memory/ramdisk

Most recently it has been Enmotus FuzeDrive - http://www.enmotus.com/amd

FuzeDrive Boot To Shoot: BattleFront II video (with horrible music and editing where at the start you can hear someone say okay and then loud ass music during the demo):
