How Quick Is The Netgear RMA / Warranty Process in 2018?

Most review sites don’t cover the RMA process, but trying to get a consumer electric device repaired or replaced under warranty can truly be a painful experience and is something we like to cover. We recently had a Netgear Nighthawk X8 AC5300 Smart WiFi Router give up the ghost when it got stuck in a reboot loop. Read on to see how long it took to get it replaced!

Biggest problem with the RMA process is that most people do not have backup equipment so they would literally be without wifi that entire time. This is so unacceptable in todays world. Cross shipping should be allowed with providing a credit card so at least you could get a replacement within a few days to get back up and running without the hassle. Well, ok, you may have the hassle after the fact if they do not approve your return or what have you.

1 day turnaround = 20 days

Be glad they dont say 7 day turnaround or it may get delayed by snow :mrgreen:
