OCZ PC2-8800 (1100MHz) Gold Edition Memory Review
OCZ Technology offers gamers some serious memory bandwidth with their 2GB PC2-8800 Gold Edition memory kit as it runs at 1.1GHz. Legit Reviews gets a chance to try out this DDR2-1100 (1100MHz) kit with 5-6-6-15 timings to see how they operate on one of our test benches. The results were nothing less than impressive and give even the fastest modules on the market a run for their money.
Our OCZ DDR2 PC2-8800 Gold Edition memory kit does exactly what it's rated to do and performs very well in all the benchmarks that we threw at it. We were able to reach 1111MHz with aggressive 4-4-4-12 2T timings, but needed to increase the voltage so high that it voided the lifetime warranty to hit stability. At these speeds we were able to get the modules to perform the same as the Corsair XMS2 DOMINATOR PC2-8888 kit, but at the cost of our warranty. When we kept the timings loose and ran the modules at 2.42V (our motherboard didn't have 2.40V) we were able to get the 1100MHz modules up to 1140MHz with 100% stability at 5-6-6-15 timings.

Otherwise, I am slightly concerned about the answer he gave you about 2.4 x .05 EVP threshold...In fact I don't think many DDR2 boards will last the test of time by throwing 2.5 VDIMM at them(i.e. 975BX, but you have to mod that out)although AMD boards might go the distance a little longer.

I suspect Intel boards will cope better with high vdimm than amd since the memory controller is more robust!

Umm, I don't think so, some of the earlier rev C2D boards have DIED after apply higher than 2.0 VDIMM
Have you been to the St. James brewery?
I heard it tastes different there(Guinness).

The best pint(s) I ever had was there!
It's not the same place anymore though, they have a new tourist centre which is all modern.......as a visitor you don't get to see even 1/8th of the real brewry! (90% of it is underground!)

I heard the stock that comes out of there is outta site!
Some guys I know went to Ireland a few years back and in spite of touring a good part of the country they somehow made it there everyday with 1 exception...that's truly awesome

What you don't know is that all of the Guinness brewed around the world is made from a concentrate shipped outta James Gate!

Actually I did know that, that's why it tastes watered down to an extent.
Around here you have some bars that are particular about the stock they have of guinness to the where special equipment was installed in the basement to try to make the draft as *close* to real guinness as possible.
They got all kinds of stuff in the basement and they shipments of C02 daily to aid in the process of freshness
The problem with that is you have to travel to get a decent pint...and for some reason pin'ts over here look smaller than over there...
