Today we posted up our lastest rant/article in our Behind The Scenes article series. Today we focus on the lack of Intel Socket 775 heat sinks and how it could impact sales for Intel. Hopefully this article will get some good attention and help give the Intel Fans some better cooling choices.
How many sales has Intel lost to the boys in green (AMD) due to their processors running hot and a lack of cooling solutions to cool the Prescotts for overclockers? No one can answer that for sure, but it is pretty obvious that AMD's recent Socket 939 processors have many more high performance cooling options available than the latest processors from Intel. When it comes to the heat sink options between the Intel socket 775 and AMD socket 939, AMD clearly has the lead in cooling options not to mention they have a cooler processor to begin with.

You can always use Chill Vent to tame the Prescott using Stock HSF.;)

Been running the 2.8E @3.5 GHz since Feb.

nice review - but for God sakes man find another word to use instead of "Options" you damn near wore it out in 10 paragraphs.

That is an interesting kit. Never pump mounted on the water block like that kit does.

Its not actually a fan its just an axial motor that drives the pump. My guess is that its less expensive to use a fan style motor for the pump than engineering a new motor. And you get the added benefit of it being 12v.
