Gaming at 1920x1080 HD Resolutions
NVIDIA just showed me this chart made with data from the Steam Hardware Survey that was a bit shocking.
In 2008 the most popular gaming resolution was 1280x1024 with 40% of gamers at that resolution. Here at the end of 2012 we find that 1920x1080 is now nearly 30% of the market and now the number one resolution for gamers. What are you gaming on?

If it supports it 5760 x 1080, if not 1920 x 1080.

19x10 for years now. Don't remember exactly when I jumped to a 1920x1080, but it's been at least 4 years
Re: Gaming at 1920x1080 HD Resolutions
we should get everyone we know to game at 640x480 on steam to throw their chart into total chaos
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me

1920x1080, but only because the market seemed to stop trying to push the rez higher. I'm very happy that hyper resolution, or at least better resolution, displays are around the corner.
Re: Gaming at 1920x1080 HD Resolutions
I just use which ever happens to be native to the game that I am playing at the time.
I will say that when I do adjust the res it does end up at 1920 x 1080.

Re: Gaming at 1920x1080 HD Resolutions
No I have an apt screen.
If I get a bigger one I would have to move the speakers.
Having said that I might look ionto getting a TV. Great picture and great audio.
