Lawmakers take aim at virtual violence

Post by Apoptosis »

In video games these days, you can strangle someone with a garrote ("Manhunt"), pop off an enemy's head in a shower of gore with a sniper shot ("Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy"), and direct a teenage girl to shotgun a demon dog ("Silent Hill 3").

Not to mention beat up prostitutes, run down pedestrians, bathe in the blood of your enemies and curse like a lobster boat captain who's stubbed his toe.
Can't say I've played any of those games, but after reading that I'm willing to give them a good ole try ;)

Silent Hill 3 is the only choice I would even try up there, but I hear it's not even that great...

Same old story, just a different day. By far, I think the Hitman series would be more inticing than Manhunt...if you were intent on bashing the violence.

When Pokemon came out a river was cried about the violence. Just imagine...

lol its disgusting to hear such rubbish!
