IRVINE, CA, February 11, 2013 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today introduced NVSPRO high-performance network video servers. An all-in-one IP video network storage and management solution, NVSPRO servers empower enterprise-class organizations to easily scale IP video surveillance systems to meet changing application requirements, whether it is the need to archive larger volumes of video or to support as many as 64 megapixel IP cameras.

NVSPRO servers drive greater return on security investment across the enterprise. Front-accessible hard drive bays can store a hefty 48TB of video and audio, a critical feature for organizations that are required to archive video for longer periods of time, such as pharmaceutical plants or schools. Combined with an Intel Core i7 processor, multi-layer redundancy mechanisms, and 4GB RAM, this hot-swappable and scalable storage makes the NVSPRO an ideal backbone for enterprise-class IP deployments. In addition, throughput rates up to 260 Mbps allow multiple megapixel cameras to be simultaneously accessed by remote clients for live monitoring, real-time recording and video playback, while dual Gigabit network ports ensure incoming and outgoing video traffic is properly balanced. RAID5 is available for better drive performance, as well as to enhance the security of mission-critical recordings in the event of mechanical failure.

Demonstrating Toshiba's commitment to driving industry trends in IP solutions, NVSPRO servers were engineered with out-of-the-box functionality and minimal training requirements. Each is pre-configured to accommodate numerous IP camera compression formats and more than 150 models of IP cameras from leading global brands, including Toshiba's newest H.264 IP cameras. Eight IP camera licenses are included per server, but these are expandable to 64. Because they are ONVIF compliant, NVSPRO servers seamlessly integrate with other ONVIF devices on larger management platforms.

NVSPRO servers are compatible with Toshiba Surveillix VMS software. As an added convenience, organizations can now view and manage their video remotely with an Apple® iPad®, iPhone®, or Android device using Toshiba's free mobile apps.

Toshiba NVSPRO NVRs combine user-friendly operation with comprehensive features. They are available in 2U and space-saving 4U rackmount chassis designs with either 8 or 16 hard-drive bays. For more information, visit http://www.toshibasecurity.com. Or call 1-877-855-1349.
