What kind of work do we need to do? Depending on what we need to do, I'm up for vice captain or something like that. Certainly not captain though.

I can help track points, I had a decent little spreadsheet going last year. :)

I really need to get my systems sorted out and find some more nvidia cards! I might be able to get a secret weapon online. :snakeman:

how have you been keeping track of points? i'd think you would write down the initial points each person had when the comp starts (THAT update) then write down each days points at 12 CST

I can't commit to anything  (as you've seen with news posts and lack of folding), but I've been thinking about firing up the GSO system again for some folding, so I'll be game if a competition gets going. It might even give me an excuse to upgrade from my 4850

I got in a box of AMD 965 Black Edition processors.

At $200 a piece they will make a nice upgrade or whatever you want to do with it...

Looking at doing 3-4 person teams where the winning team member will each get a 965BE

We will also be doing a drawing for new people that join the F@H team for a chance to win a 965BE as well.

If the first contest goes well I'll have enough processors to do it again... That means as many as 10 people could be walking away with 965 BE processors, that is $2,000 worth of processors!

You guys ready to get folding?

why we fold in the winter:
In winter (October through May) that charge is 6.12 cents per kWh for the first 750 kilowatthours and 4.12 cents per kWh for any usage over 750 kilowatthours.

In summer when the costs of generating and delivering power are higher because of heavy demands on the system, that charge is 8.63 cents per kilowatthour.
power bill will be more than half price compared to summer for over 750 kilowatthours, which I am...

Lucky....we don't have that sorta billing. We have smart meters here so it's like this.

Code: Select all

May 1 to October 31. 10pm to 7am is off peak and will be charged the lowest. Mid-peak is from 7am to 11am and 5pm to 10pm. Peak will be from 11am to 5pm and will be charged the most. As of May 1, 2010, Off Peak begins at 9pm.

November 1 to April 30. Off peak is from 9pm to 7am. Peak is from 7am to 11am and 5pm to 9pm. Mid-peak is from 11am to 5pm.

Weekends and Statutory Holidays is off peak year round.

Off-peak price is 4.2cents/kWh. Mid-peak price is 7.6cents/kWh. Peak price is 9.1cents/kWh. Apparently, these prices will change every May and November.

Mine is the same price all the time. I don't have the paper handy, but I think around 6.125 IIRC.

we don't worry too much about power, this year we didnt use our pool at all, and the pump accumulates a majority of our bill during summer, that and our AC's(which never touch my room sadly) my PC is comparable to a desk light among the rest of our use

when do we want to get this started up nate? i'll make a signup with the details once ya let me know
