Yep, your right, bigadv has alot of disadvantages,4 days for 1 work unit with no overclock and 24/7 100% load and no margin on the deadline to give it a break and not that big of bonus. The biggest pro for running it IMO is that Stanford has said that folding bigadv takes far less research time ,projects on it take months instead of years.

I built the i7 for this and overclocked it to 3.8 ghz. So it will run them till it dies. Matter of fact the only thing plugged into it is a power cord and a network cable.
edit: but I guess it should be said I built it to be overclocked
