Back to folding for the good guys!

Post by TraceHagan »

I quit my job with the company I used to write for and no longer have to fold for them! I came back here, because the folding environment is just so great!

Right now I have my 980x folding 24x7 at 4.0GHz!

I only get 300-500 e-mails a day and last month I was gone more than half the month. Re-send it if you would.

There we go, finally got the CPU stable. 16k points yesterday for the one processor. Not bad! :-k Now time to figure out how to increase it :)

Go to task manager and see if all cores are at 100%. Did you enter a passkey? You need I think 8 WU to get the big-adv. points.

I had been getting bigadv units before with my passkey. I'll go check in a minute.

Woo! Now to decide if building a dual socket system is worth it. I might have a way to get a deal on some server chips from my friend's dad who works at Intel selling them, so time will tell :)

Sorry I haven't been active. My client stopped pulling any units at all and I haven't had time to work on it. (Been fighting HP for 5 months, but that's a story for another thread/day/month) I just checked in here and to my surprise found that it appears bigadv is being ended? Would this explain my inability to pull units on my 980x?

It's pulling some sort of units!

TraceHagan, looks like you are F@H just fine! Fold on! :) What's HP? Whatever it is I hope you get over it and feel better. [-o<

Edit: If HP stands for Hewlett-Packard then next time build your own rig.

Yes, Hewlett Packard. It's a laptop. Kind of hard to build my own!

Yup, I got it working again! But no Bigadv it seems
