It seems after a recent update for WIndows, every single executable on a local disk is prompted with an Open File Security Warning message. Before I did the update, I didn't have this issue. I've browsed the web and really couldn't find any useful information about the problem, which the sites really only concentrate on opening files through a local intranet.
http://support.tabs3.com/main/R11124.htm#Step2 Is the closest fix, but it still doesn't work, since Some of the options in the Security settings in the local intranet zone is not in my version of IE6 (Which should be the same since my PC is up to date, that is before activating Windows to get IE7).
My security settings for the Local Intranet is Medium-Low like it is by default, and everything is checked in the sites box, including UNC checkbox. Not only that, I'm not even running Windows Firewall! Get off my nuts, MS!
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
