Windows 7 Student Pricing?

Post by Apoptosis »

A neighbor of mine wants me to build him a PC and he's wanting a legal copy of windows 7 for as cheap as possible. He's a 17 year old high school student... Does Microsoft do any high school student pricing or anything like that? He doesn't have a .edu address, so I think he's stuck with a full price version.

It's about $64.

You do not need to be a university or college student. highschool will work as well. I got mine that way. For highschool you will need one of these:

Upload a digital scan of one of the following with your name on it:
* Student ID card
* Class list

odd, our college has a deal where you can get up to 5 copies of ultimate 32 or 64 for $10 a piece. $64 is a good deal though.

Yes, depending on your college/university (and even some high schools) and the department you're in, you can get Microsoft products for free.

Go here to search the school: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-ca/academic/dd861349.aspx
