This is probably a bizarre question. There again, what question do I ever ask that isn't?!?!?
Anyway, I have an HP TC1100 quasi-notebook/touchpad that doesn't have quite enough cajones to run anything besides XP. It has the product key for HP's XP Tablet PC OS and the only image I can find of it has all 3 service packs slipstreamed. The customer just wants to get it running so his kids (3 & 5) can play games on it.
The problem I'm having is that with SP3 installed, the chipset, audio and wireless network drivers won't install. The audio driver specifies it will not install if SP1 is on the system. So I'm guessing that these drivers were meant to be installed before any major updates were released. Then, with each service pack, those drivers were updated.
I never really got involved in slipstreaming but I know there's more to it than just slapping the service packs on the disc. Is there a reverse procedure?
Thanks!
Jack
