What do you guys think of FreeBSD? I'm moving the site over to a new server and the database guy says FreeBSD 10 is the way to go. He says its much faster and is more secure/stable. thoughts?

Sounds like a deal if it has a bit more speed. My pages have been loading a bit slow lately, but that could just be Direcway screwing up again.

we'll i'm talking with the coder right now and he can start this weekend and have the site re-done in 2.5 weeks.

Right now I'm talking to Server Matrix to get signed up for a dedicated server with FreeBSD installed and ready to go.

Looks like everything is working out guys. Big changes over the next few weeks.
