I am working on my senior portfolio for school, and we have to turn it in digitally (via disk or cd). So, being the techy nerd that I'm not, I decided to just do mine kind of in a webpage format using Word. All went well, got all of the links and everything... What I would like to do is burn it to a cd with an autorun file so that when they put the cd in, it will pop up to my index.htm file. On one cd I have, I opened up the autorun file and it said:
[autorun]
open=setup.exe
icon=setup.ico
I tried burning a cd with an autorun file that said:
[autorun]
open=index.htm
but when I tried to open the cd by clicking on autoplay (it did not autorun), I got this message:
E:\ is not a valid WIN32 application.
I can access the files when I right click and click on "open." All of the links and everything transferred over just fine.
Does anyone know how to burn a cd that will autorun?
Thanks!

Windows autorun can only open an application not a data file (eg HTML). That is why you are getting the error.
Here is a site that I used in college to make autorun cd's. They have all the files you need.. just download and burn... donw in 10 seconds!
