Hello,
I purchased Photoshop CS some time ago in college for a digital photography class and it is the educational version. It appears that Adobe allows upgrades from three versions back. So I expect that when CS5 comes out on April 12th that only CS2 and newer copies would be eligible for the $199 upgrade to CS5. I've also heard people mention that sometimes Adobe has a grace period so that if you bought CS4 right before CS5 came out, for example, you might get CS5. However, I don't know if this applies to upgrades or new copies only. I'm wondering if anyone with experience with Adobe has thoughts around if I upgrade my CS1 Educational version to CS4 Retail just before the launch of CS5 if they think I would get a copy of CS5?
My gut feeling is a no, but still worth asking around.
Educational Photoshop CS1 --> CS5 Retail?
