Hi guys. I partitioned my HDD a while ago and after some monitoring have decided that the partitions need altering. The program that I intend to use is Easeus Partition Manager. I was wondering that if I do this will it corrupt anything, or will I have to re install Windows??
Thanks for the help

Re: Adjusting Partitions
Anytime you mess with partitions there is a risk of screwing up something. I have done it more than once.
Back up all the "cant live with out" stuff then set down to do it when you fully awake and it has your full attention.
As for the software, haven't used the one you mentioned. I use GParted Live CD.

Re: Adjusting Partitions
Even thought I have not used the software you mentioned to partition .I prefer to use GParted as well.

Re: Adjusting Partitions
Ok so updating backups is a must and I've never heard of this GParted Live CD.

http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
go to the site, download the CD image and burn that to a disk. Then boot to the disk and it will create its own little temporary world in the system RAM and the disk. Gives you a graphical look at the drive and you can adjust the partitions with sliders. It is OS independent and can adjust many different disk formats. Handy little disk to have if you are messing with partitions. Best thing about it, its free.

Re: Adjusting Partitions
Looks simple enough to use and I guess that it is burnt to a disk in much the same way as a memory stick.

Re: Adjusting Partitions
not sure it can be put on a memory stick.
I just burn it to a disk. What ever program you have there should be an option to "burn a disk image" the program will then take the ISO file, expanding and put the files packed in the ISO on the disk.
