Need help and opinion about a software

Post by Rcrew »

Hello,

I would like to develop an own application I have not decided yet what it should be. I am not a programmer and onyl had a little experience with C and C++. After searching on the Internet I found a site that offered solutions for application building. There it is stated that with an SDK, called Ozeki VoIP SIP SDK (www dot voip-sip-sdk), own applications like a softphone can be built. It is written in C# and I am not familiar with that programming language. This is why I would like to receive information about how should I start to test this software? Also have you ever heard or used this software before and could provide me with information about it?

Thanks for your kind response.

Most people with no or minimal programming experience would go for open source software and not pay for it

http://www.linphone.org is free and released under GPL

http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Open ... P+Software

If indeed this thread is "legit", then stick with known open source software for now.
The documentation is going to be far better and you'll also get free support via a mailing list, wiki & forums

I may be wrong, but this just has to be spam (though creative spam).

Not a programmer, but want to develop an application dealing with some rather complex protocols? Add to this asking not on any of the usual programming sites/forums but on a review site (not that this wont get a valid answer, but rather odd for a first post) and I cant see this being anything but spam.

Got to love spammers.

The IP on this person is Debrecen Hungary and like you said that is where this company is located:

Debrecen Office Address
Ozeki Systems Ltd.
Furedi ut 18.
Debrecen, Hungary

Looks like they are doing some self-spam

I air on the side of caution before deleting threads or banning users.
This is what happens when I give people the benefit of doubt.

How cautious are the wise

Hey kenc51

I've become known by one of the administrators in our forum as The Executioner.. I'd say a community needs a lot of people who lean in the direction you took. And besides, some visitors may well benefit from the advice you provided. A skilled and experienced programmer replied to the thread in our forum as well, and, with a little editing as you applied here, it will remain in public view.
