Outlook express error

Post by ThomasSnow254 »

Sometimes when I goto open an emali (any email new or old) I get the following errors

1) One or more parts of this message could not be displayed

then when I hit OK

2) There was an error opening this message.
There is not enough memory.

Nothing is added to the error logs

Why do I get this error??
I have 1gig of memory and from what task manager say I'm only using 1/2 of it.

How I fix it??
Short of rebooting??

Using Outlook Express 6
6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

Wow, 1gb of ram and outlook express 6? Are you still running XP?

Update outlook express to a newer version or update to windows live mail.

Empty deleted items folders in outlook express.

Get more memory.

Switch to another email program or get your email online through the web interface.

I am not sure if expanding your virtual memory settings would help or not but you could try that.

Just a few suggestions as you have such an old version of OE and a super low amount of memory.
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:

1. Register an important Outlook file. Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 OLE32.DLL
Also, type regsvr32 inetcomm.dll

2. Check if DBX file is corrupt. Perform a repair with
Outlook Express Repair Toolbox

3. Create a new Outlook Express identity.
