Here's what I found on your board from one site:
General
MPN: 6100K8MB-RS
Product Type: Motherboard
Form Factor: Micro ATX
Width: 24.4 cm
Depth: 24.4 cm
Compatible Processors: Athlon 64, Sempron
64-bit Processors Compatibility: Built-in
Processor Socket: Socket 754
Chipset Type: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 / NVIDIA nForce 410 MCP
Max Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Storage Controller: ATA-133, Serial ATA-300 (RAID)

According to that you can use an AMD ATHLON 64, 754 Pin CPU w/ 800MHZ FSB

That other cpu should be an Athlon XP 2600 or Athlon 2600 which is socket "A" and not compatible with the 754 Pin cpu socket and it runs at 333 FSB.
You can find (but not easily) an Athlon 64, 754 Pin CPU at 800 FSB fairly cheap. For my money though I'd buy a motherboard Combo (motherboard, CPU, and CPU fan already mated and replace the old Mobo. (not that there's any thing wrong with your old MOBO, it just works out better for me to replace the setup, build the old setup into something cheap and sell it to off set the upgrade cost.)
