safe temps for 940 BE ?

Post by ratNukit »

Hey guys,

my Phenom II 940 BE just got in and I wanted to ask if anybody could already comment on safe temps?

Mine is running 3,6 Ghz at 70 °C after 15 min of 100 % load, just wanted to know if I could go somewhat further without burning it.

what voltage are you at and what cooler?

They get pretty toasty when overclocked, but I can hit 3.9GHz on an aftermarket air cooler with ease with ~1.65V

I'm running it with a BigWater 760i from Thermaltake. In normal desktop operation I got it at 51°C

That's what I got so far :)
