Processor for HD Video Editing?

Post by cwild1 »

I am looking to build a PC for HD Video editing using Corel VideoStudio Pro Ultimate x6. I found this one, but not sure... http://shop.amd.com/US/All/Detail/Proce ... AProcessor

I'm currently using an HP PC with A6-3650, and it frquently stops responding. How would the one above compare to my current one?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do HD video editing and you will not get any better than the 3rd gen Intel Core i7 cpus.

Just a quick search gave this - http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpag ... eview/1537 - shows it much better than I could explain.

Hd video, go with intel 3rd gen i7 - gaming, i5 or amd.
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:

if you want to do video editing stuffs go with the higher physical core count. AMD 8350 is pretty good choice here. if you can buy a aftermarket cooler you can overclock it a bit and that will get your job done.
Core i7 2600
Cooler Master Hyper 412S
Gigabyte GA Z68A D3H B3
16GB Dual Channel 1333MHz
MSI GTX660OC 2GB SLI
Corsair CX750
ASUS MS228
Hitachi 1TB 3Gb/s, WD 2TB 6Gb/s
