What are the current expectations for Zen? Been looking online a lot, very scarce info... Anyone got any insider rumors or general hearsay?

Looking for ballpark info... basically to figure out if this thing will be competitive or not.

With how long it takes AMD to get stuff out now a days it will be lackluster IMO. Going toe to toe with the Extreme series from Intel seems like a stretch with AMD's recent track record.

Now if they can compete on price, which I have said before, then they will have a win but I imagine they will want a premium and price it way too close to comparable Intel chips and then there is just no reason to buy AMD. Again, in my opinion.

Opinions by Mike do not reflect on Legit Reviews nor on Nate :finga:

after seeing some of the leaks i am becoming optimistic about zen. I remember the phenom II days when we at least had an option between intel and amd when it came to cpus even if AMD did not have the fastest chip.

Look forward to returning to that and will be building AMD only box if their hardware doesn't suck. We will have to wait and see.
Something about supporting the underdog that is exciting to me.

I saw a artical based on a benchmark the shows the equivalent intel cpu i7 6900k up against its top zen cpu. it shows promise but amd have a lot to make up for. I say best of luck to them. would be nice to see intel and amd on par with each other again.

However, are AMD a little late to the party. 6 months or so after zen is released intel will have a superior cpu to beat it.
