Celeron 533 oc'ed to 600 with a little modding
i have an old Celeron 533MHz socket 378 and wished i could overclock it a little. so i had a new heatsink fan from a celeron 2.0 GHz i took the old fan of the heatsink and stuck the new on by squeezing the new heatsink frame and there it was now it runs at 600Mhz no problem!

I think the Cely 333a chip that we first overclocked is still around here somewhere. Took is from 333mhz to 420mhz, if I recall correctly. good times.

This was my first mod and this will probably go on to 650MHz a least or maybe 700MHz

i just noticed that the socket is wrong it is socket PPGA 370. i also did some number crunching and came up with a graph of all options for this motherboard:

I tried to go to 650MHZ but it wouldn't POST so i guess 600MHz is as far as it will go. do you guys know anything that might help. this is a old motherboard jumper settings for Bus and Multiplier. Here is the CPU-Z link: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=227531

It is very likely that your chip has hit the wall of its maximum clock with stability.
Under 'normal' overclocking I would suggest adding more voltage to the CPU to see if it helps, but I have no idea what is an acceptable range to suggest, and if doing so will help at all (It could just hinder it with increased heat output)
