your procesor with your cooling should be able to do 1.525 v without issue, but i wouldnt run it 24/7, the max i would run 24/7 would be between 1.45 and one 1.5v not sure about that specific northbridge, check what it runs at when on auto

I just found a serious design flaw with my build. I have to strip half the machine to swap out my hard drives when I go to install my RAID0 array tonight due to the radiator preventing me from pulling the hard dries out the front of the case....

Whoopse.

Well, got the RAID 0 array all built and running. It was far easier than I thought it was going to be, well minus the installing the drives in the case. That tripple radiator I use up front while amazing at cooling sure is a PITA on changing parts because I can't just pull the hard drive cage through the front of the case, I had to completely remove the power supply. But it's done and having a 1TB RAID 0 array I think I'm ok for drive space for a while considering I was using 1/4 of that before and had plent of storage left but no more room on the Raptor.

So I guess I need someone to update my banner again if they would be so kind to reflect the RAID array.

Water cooling does make changing things a bit of a pain in the butt sometimes, but the more often you do it the faster you get at it...........

That's true. You were right about that sticky pad, I had to use a big screwdriver to pry it off the hard drive cage to get the pump out of the way. lol. I'm just not looking forward to draining it in the future.

I can't count the number of times I've had to drain mine for one reason or another, the latest was this week when one of my 4870's died................. :x

Thanks bro. I appreciate the nice words. I'm trying to decide what the next step would be. I will be going i7 at some point but the motherboards I keep reading about are both pricey and somewhat flakey suchs as the ASUS Rampage II. I think I might add either a second Radeon or a Radeon X2 as the 1920x1200 of my monitor makes even my 4870 cry sometimes.

Well, I'd considered cooling my GPU as I have ton's of headroom left on the radiator but I don't believe my PowerColor Radeon is a ATI refrence design so I don't think the Koolance will work on it. I might have to just use a GPU waterblock.

I've got one of those laying around as well, but I might be using it on my 3rd 4870 when I get around to installing my old heater core radiator...........;) I'm not totally sure if I want (or need) to go Tri-Fire as of right now.

Well, I almost screwd up. Was going to order a second 4870 when I noticed the Corsair PSU I'm using only supports one card. That sucks, major.

The 4 pin to PCI-e adapters that ship with most cards normally do a OK job of powering the cards, I've had to use them before. As long as the PSU has enough amps to push 2 4870's (and everything else) the adapters will work fine.

I e-mailed Corsair about my issue and they're sending me the dual PCIE cables for free!
