Monster Rig.
Re: Monster Rig.
Post some specs of what u got the rig up to now Bio. I had a similar setup i just upgraded from that had a DFI board base and an A64 that overclocked nicely with just air.....even though I used an upgraded cooler with a 92mm tornado strapped to it(with a fan controller of course LOL!)

Re: Monster Rig.
I've had it as high as 4GHz, but I'm starting over again with a new MoBo and 4 gigs of ram that I installed yesterday.

Re: Monster Rig.
DANG BRO! That's some nice speeds there! I'm hoping to break the 3.5G barrier on my E6600 when I'm done water cooling. Do you have the clock set to that now and running stable?

Re: Monster Rig.
Only ran a few benchmarks at those speeds and it seemed stable................
But like I said before, I just swapped out MoBos yesterday and installed a Gigabyte EP45T Extreme with 4 x 1 gig of ram. Right now I have it at 3.6 stable already.

Impressive
IntelBurnTest can determine if your overclock is stable.

Re: Monster Rig.
When I get around to it I'll try and see if I can get it stable with this new setup..........;)
With this new board I have it at 3.6 @ 1.424v load 20 runs of IntelBurn), so I've still got plenty of head room left...................

That's actual as reported by several different programs under load (IntelBurn and Prime95).

Re: Monster Rig.
looks good, how big a bit do you use to drill the holes for the rivets? want to do something similar to mine as the rad placement knocked out the usb and audio ports

Re: Monster Rig.
Those aren't rivets, they are 6-32 stainless steel hex drive button head machine screws. I think I used 1/8" bit if I remember correctly.

B-H,
Those are some impressive stats for your Monster Rig.
Good to see you're still messing around with the big hardware.

Re: Monster Rig.
Updated the video card water cooling a little with a full coverage block to keep the 4870 nice and cool while over clocking.
