Modding an Apartment Livingroom?!

Post by gvblake22 »

Well, it seems I gave my roommates the modding fever and they decided they wanted give our livingroom a facelift. So (thankfully) one of them decided they were willing to foot the bill ($100) to buy a bunch of lumber and deck screws to make "Stadium Seating" :)
I'll let the pics speak for themselves:

I actually sounds REALLY SWEET and it's super comfortable up there on that top couch. You almost feel like you are the king of the livingroom!! The only bad part is you are almost always out of reach of the remote that is usually on the table far below
...and yes those are four car audio speakers mounted into the front base of the structure. They are hooked up to a large amp also powering a nice Sony powered subwoofer and two HUGE home stereo speakers in the front. So they are actually the rear satellite speakers for the surround sound setup that actually sounds really, really good!

Although we are are all "Student-Athletes" and don't drink in season (which is prettymuch year 'round), we made sure to leave the area behind the lower front couch open so we could use the space under the whole setup for "storage" :)

you should take down that chair on the top row and add some end tables for people to set beer/drink on. that way they dont have to hold them over the heads of the people in front.

btw awsome job :)
