Little Modded Antec

Post by rat6fink »

Recently did a little modding to my case, and I thought I'd share...Enjoy!
Rubber-covered jig feet. Had to do this cuz the table that the case sits on is recessed, and the case needs a little more altitude.

Wasn't a major mod, but it made something unique...

That's a nice touch to the case. Definitely gives it a unique look.

case looks like it came out well, and seems like it didn't take much effort either since it's all exterior!

as for the cabling, gotta learn sometime :) i've not cabled sleeved myself but looks like the cabling itself is what looks bad (it looks like the sleeves are made for several wires/sleeve such as molex cabling), also what made you go with green for the sleeving color?

Thanks, man. It's not that hard, just time comsuming, especially if you make a mistake (had one "oops" and had to break out the soldering iron). I got some UV lights coming for it, and some new fans. Plus got a new hold down plate on its way for my new water block. When that happens, UV coolant will be runnin thru...Plus I like green 8)

As soon as can get some more sleeving, there will be more...gonna do the PCI cables, SATAs, and any others I can find.....the blue Sapphire logo on the 5770 might throw off the UV thing though ](*,)

For our next installment, we're making a mounting bracket for the coolant reservoir...It'll cradle the res, and bolt directly to the HD cage, made from aluminum and a few bolts...Most work was done with a Dremel, except for the 2 large holes, which could've been done with the proper cutters (working in a machine shop has certain fringe benefits)...unfortunately, I haven't got the new radiator in yet, so the mounted photos will have to wait a couple days (the res has to be mounted before plumbing with tubing).
