Ultra Short SATA Cables?

Post by Skippman »

I need some ULTRA short SATA cables, like 6" long ones. Anyone know where I can get some. This would TOTALLY clean up my case.

They have 8" ones with 90 degree ends on them now...

pretty slick if you ask me...

here is a 4" cable with a 90 on one side: http://www.cooldrives.com/seatasalacau.html

not sure if I've seen shorter than 4" for a SATA cable.

I also found this site:

http://www.satacables.com/

Not exactly exotic looking, but nice and short. My HD's are REALLY close to the MB. Add to that the clutter of two X1900's and it's REALLY tight in there. Shorter cables will mean they're not all bunched up behind the drives and improve airflow.

I had checked out the same site as Skippman, and another, but I doesn't look like I bookmarked it. The other site had some 4" 90s in clear, black, and several other colors. I'll look for it later and post it if I can find the link.

Ice,

You ever find those other "exotic" SATA cables you're talking about. I'd like to get these things ordered this week if I can.

Maybe not what you're looking for, but could one 'fold' a cable then use that heat-shrink cable cover to make it look like one? I've see UV / neons pinks, yellow, green etc...

Actually, I forgot to look. ;) I'll take a look around tonight and see if I can find it again.

That would be a good link to have as well. I've gone battie with the cables and air flow before.

One time, I had a CPU fan+heatsink setup that stood very high. The wierd part was, the fan cable was 8 inches long with the three pin connector. I only needed two inches to make it work and be neat.

I wanna say the site I saw them on was FrozenCPU... but it looks like the shortest they have now is 6" and no 90's that I can see.

http://www.satacables.com looks like the best bet at this point.

I know this is an old thread but I found really short SATA Cables is 5" short enough? I believe they were from a Dell computer. I have bought from this company before and they served me good.
