Thinking of Water cooling

Post by DL13 »

Hi, I am thinking of going water cooling because of the temps in my room is casing higher temps in my system. So I was wandering if a Thermaltake Aquabay M5 http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-aquabay-m5.html is a desist place to start? I am on a budget so I can't go crazy on the price.

Your best bet for water cooling on a tight budget would be the Coolit Domino ALC. Nate did a nice review of it here.

I thought of that but I just don't like it, I might want to add something later on.

Swiftech has some good kits like the Apex Ultima (which I'm using as I type) that are easily upgradable. Check the "Liquid Cooling Kits" section here http://www.swiftnets.com/
I'd trust their quality over that other one you posted, mine has made it to a lan party 4 hours away and back roadtripping, so I'm quite confident in both the cooling performance and component quality.

I've bin reading a lot of good things about Swifteck so they definitely sound good. I was looking at that kit but the price is a little high. I am looking at the Compact though, do you now some one that has one, I'd like to now if the pump is any good with it being on the CPU.
