PSU idea?

Post by kylepaddock »

Mobo: MSI K9N SLI V2
RAM: 1.8V DDR2-800
PSU Random 20pin 300W
CPU: AMD AM2 5200+
Videocard: Nvidia 7300GS
Hard Drive: 250GB SATAII

My PSU is 20 pin with a 4 pin cpu connector, could I use my cpu connector for the extra 4 mail pins my mobo needs and use a 2molex-6pin videocard adapter to power the cpu connector? Or do I even need the CPU connector?

Absolutely not.

You might get away with not using a 24pin powersupply. Read your manual too see how to connect the 20pin connector in the right spot.
