CES 2011: iBUYPOWER Preps new EREBUS Water Cooled System

Post by XstollieX »

For those unfamiliar with iBUYPOWER, they are a company that builds custom computer systems from mild to wild. This morning Legit Reviews had the opportunity to spend some time with iBUYPOWER while here at CES 2011. iBUYPOWER gave us a chance to look at a system that they have designed from the ground up. They have dubbed this system EREBUS. EREBUS has a completely custom case that will accommodate four radiators for one extreme water cooling system! Is it overkill? Maybe, is it cool (no pun intended)? Absolutely! iBUYPOWER hasn't set a release date just yet, but we will let you know when they do!

The EREBUS system above is running a total of four Radiators, three dual 120mm radiators, and an impressively large Quad radiator in the top of the case. The EREBUS is running an Intel Core I7 980X as well as three NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580's! Powering this beast is an Antec AX 1200Watt power supply. Expected retail for the iBUYPOWER EREBUS once it is spec'ed out is $3999.
Earlier this week iBUYPOWER also unveiled the new Chimera XLC, which will feature water cooling, as well as a fully custom painted NZXT Phantom Case!
