New Case

Post by Neptune24 »

Hi Guys,

I am wanting to buy a new case. Firstly cause mine is too big for where it is suppose to be and secondly cause I need one with more fan space/better air flow and after having a look on several sites, have found nothing.

Requirements:

Motherboard is: Micro ATX Form Factor; 24.4cm x 24.4cm (not forgetting the graphics card)
One with the cable hiding system.
Filters over the fans (though not essential)
Not fussed on case colour but fan LEDs to be blue or green me thinks
I want it to look good nothing boring but not horrible either.
Not bothered if it comes with or without a PSU
£65 I think is a good price for the right case.
the gap that it is to go in is : H - 410mm W - 300mm D - 460mm
Want one that stands up.
If it helps I currently have a silver xblade tower. Type xblade in google it will come up.

Any suggestions or where else to look (have looked on Amazon Ebuyer and Xcases) welcome

Thank you

Yep have done that though the filters.

I have found a couple of cases that have caught my eye. Just wondering how important a side fan is?? Will it make any difference once the cables are out of the way??

Ok to help I have done this.
This is my current set up
This is my current set up
As you can see the tower is too big for the gap it is meant to go in and there are two main issues with it where it is.

1. Because of the support board at back of desk, I can't push it all the way back (power cable)

2. Because of point one, I constantly hit the blasted thing cause, like most, I sit at the middle(ish) point of the desk.

I am thinking of getting a new desk but want one similar to this one. Tower space slide out bit (big enough for keyboard and mouse)

I know that's why I'm looking for a new desk. But surely if the gap is big enough then air would still circulate.

Having said that, I'm all for advice so what sort of desk should I be looking for??

Ok I have found a desk that I like and I can also have a decent sized tower as well.

Would this be a more suited desk?

The space for the PC tower measures at

H:560mm, W:250mm, D: Around 450mm-500mm

Definatly wouldn't put a case into a closed space like that. Don't get me wrong, that desk looks good but you'll have very little room for the side fan. In order for a side fan to work properly you need at least 10cm of space between the fan and the wall/desk. Anyway this is the mATX case i would get :)
