Lapping Zalman

Post by BoxsterS258 »

I have decided to lap my zalman 7000A CU cooler, but if you own one you know that you cant set it down on sandpaper because there are 2 ridges that keep the flat area of the heatsink from touching the level sandpaper. How would you go about doing this?

The best suggestion i can think of is to use a peice of glass that fits between the ridges. Then lap in one direction. it may not be posible to lap that sink with out grinding off the ridges.
