Confusion is probably because it was re-tweeted (by CatalystMaker) that today was the last day to enter. The original tweet by legit reviews was yesterday but retweeted today by CatalystMaker.JMMD wrote:I amazed so many people can't read when the contest ended.

How many times are we going to change the rules or did I just read that wrong?

Unfortunately all of the newly registered people are only here to win and not support the community.JMMD wrote:I amazed so many people can't read when the contest ended.
Nope, the contest entries ended yesterday per the rules, and the drawing is today... hopefully. I know with Apop opening up the contest to anyone and everyone, it'll make it more difficult if he does it the same way he did last time.Sgt. The last chance to enter will be on April 14, 2010 and the drawing will be held April 15, 2010.

I don't care how often Apop changes the rules, more people in is a good thing for the site and any giveaways they have, thanks for the chance to win this beast!!!!

The tension is quite exciting.

I put my request in last night at like 10 or 11 pm EST, and it shows a timestamp of 2 something AM today. Weird that it is about 5 hours ahead of my timezone.JMMD wrote:I amazed so many people can't read when the contest ended.

I totally agree that more people is good for the site and that this and other contests can be/are as much about getting new members as they are about rewarding old. I for one am a new member to the site and will absolutely be around from time to time. I have been back on many occasions since registering. The fact that some people couldn't or didn't feel it was worth it to take the time and look around for a few interesting topics to post to is sad. If nothing else, it was five minutes of "work" for a chance at ~3k. Sounds more than fair to me.
Please do not assume that I don't respect the owner's rights to modify the contest or appreciate giveaways like this, but it comes across as fishy to reward such lax behavior. I do understand the value of changing it from a business standpoint. I will always feel that quality trumps quantity in just about everything though.

I don't do contests to make money, grow the site or get new members... I do it to give back to the community that is here day in and day out! My relaxing the rules at the last minute was my choice and it was done for a very valid reason. I thank those that helped tweet the contest and am shocked by those companies that didn't help. But, I'm not getting into politics... I deal with that... you guys see the pretty front end and there is a $3000 system being given away tonight!Sgt. Also no need to check e-mail as the winner will be posted here... busy cutting up names to draw one!
