It's a really great design and he obviously put a fair bit of effort into it. Probably more than me (although I did spend way too much time fussing over mine, haha)
I guess he'll have to quickly do a flipped version of it though, before it goes to print.

There were a few entries that showed remarkable digital drawing and painting skills which I have to say I thought would have won.
I guess it just came down to what the judges were looking for and unfortunately for these folk in this case it wasn't what they wanted.

Awesome job everyone. I had a very hard time choosing the best designs and didn't see any that were bad.

wow congrats to the winners. They're all very good and definitely professional quality. I must say though considering some of the other entries I'm a bit surprised by the winners. Guess I just missed what the judges were going for. All the winners look like cards that could be seen in a retail store, I assumed the judges were looking for a more personal touch. Guess not. *shrug* Good job again to the winners!

I think the same as you mx6er, they do look professional and slick. The competition brief was quite open with what it required, but I myself assumed it meant be more creative and put different/less seen visuals on the design of the card, like illustrations etc, just as you said, a more 'personal touch', obviously it was was more of a traditional design outcome they were looking for, so yeah... I guess not too haha.

But yeah, well done everyone, I put a lot of effort into this, and I'm damn sure everyone else did too, it was a good competition experience (my first online competition). At least I can use my entry for my portfolio!

And also, thanks to all the moderators, especially to Aptosis.
