iBUYPOWER Chimera 2 Gaming System with an I7-980X CPU

Post by Apoptosis »

Our good friends over at Intel and iBuyPower have assembled a killer Gamer Paladin system that we are more than happy to give away to one of our lucky forum members on Tax Day - April 11th!! This is your chance to win an Intel X58 chipset and Core I7-980X powered gaming system (aka Gulftown) for just being an active member of Legit Reviews! This system isn't your average system either as it is packed full of high-end components like an ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB video card, 6GB of DDR3 1600MHz memory, LG Blu-Ray player and since Intel is sponsoring the contest you know it has to have an Intel 80GB SSD along inside along with another 1TB hard drive for file storage! All this goodness is packed inside the Chimera Inferno 2 gaming case and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit has been installed. Not only will this system look good, but it will also be a solid overclocker and gaming system for one lucky winner here on Legit Reviews.

A Word From Intel:

“Intel and iBuypower are happy to team up and bring you the ‘Core i for the Extreme guy (or gal)’ contest featuring Intel’s freshly-minted powerhouse – the 6 core, 12 thread Core i7-980X. We are excited to see what creativity can be unleashed and are happy to support the enthusiast community with contests like this to stoke the fires of tech passion. Check out http://www.intel.com/products/processor ... /index.htm and http://www.ibuypower.com/ for more on these great new products.”

The Drawing Prize Details:

The prize for this contest is ONE iBuyPower Killer Chimera 2 PC (chassis may vary from the one pictured above). Intel and iBuyPower told us that the total value for the prize at contest launch is ~$2,999. The prize will be shipped by iBuyPower or Intel. As a result Legit Reviews will not be able to choose shipping carriers, give you updates on the shipping status or expand the countries eligible for the contest (the sponsors decided that).

Rules and Fine Print:

Legit Reviews will be randomly selecting a forum member who entered this contest. In order to enter this contest you must make one and only one post to this thread saying that you wish to enter the contest and then post a picture with specs of your current system in the post your rig thread. To be successfully entered into the drawing you must be an active member with at least FIVE forum posts in March or April 2010 as well as and be a resident of the United States or Canada (Canadian winners are responsible for all international duties/taxes). If you’re not already a member, you can sign up quickly and easily (and it's free), by clicking right here. The last chance to enter will be on April 14, 2010 and the drawing will be held April 15, 2010. The winner will be announced later than evening and will have 72 hours to claim the prize. If the prize is not claimed in 72 hours another name will be drawn on April 18, 2010. If you travel or will not be in town on April 15, 2010 be sure to have a friend check for you! You might be upset with Taxes on April 15th, but this is our way of trying to make it feel better! This contest is open to all LR members including forum mods as they are non-compensated members of the community that deserve a chance to enter!

Extra Entry Opportunities:

If you'd like to earn extra entries into the contest you can earn up to three extra entries if you want to jump through some more hoops.

1) If you are an active F@H team member of Team #38296 then be sure to post your team name when you enter as you just got yourself an extra entry. If you are not on our F@H team you can find out more about the team in the forums and/or download either the CPU or GPU client and get started by entering in #38296 when it asks for a team number.

2) If you'd follow Legit Reviews on twitter and RT (retweet) our original contest status update for the contest that will also give you an extra entry. You must do this BEFORE September 28th to be eligible for extra entry.

3) Join the Legit Reviews Facebook Fan Page!

Good luck to everyone and we hope to get to know you a little better in the forums!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the LR Staff

Do NOT post in threads older than month with no responses, repeated violations of this will result in removal of your entries from the contest

Does it have to be a built rig? Can it be a notebook?

Also do you know approx how much the duties/taxes would be if a Canadian won?

P.S. if we have to comment here first, then count me IN and this is my entry (lol),
and if only one post then I will say thanks now for the clarification to my above questions so I don't need to post again :D THANKS

Here is my photo> http://forums.legitreviews.com/about154 ... ml#p169771

I'm already a follower on Twitter (@Manduhh), here is my Tweet> http://twitter.com/Manduhh/status/10983104183
I'm already a fan on facebook as Amanda S. too (and will re-fan when the page is back)

I tried to join your team with F@H but I don't think it's working. I put your team number in and it still doesnt show me as being a member.
Anyway my F@H name is VixenX maybe it just takes time to update.

UPDATE: I'm now number 190 on the Legit Reviews F@H team, it finally worked :D
