WOAH, I'm amazed, I've never won anything before, even with the plethora of stuff I sign up to.

This is the only site where I entered the ECS contest too. (Okay, and I'm lazy and didn't look for any other places. :))

Do I need to do anything, or is ECS taking care of everything?

Wow, I still can barely believe I won... this semester's nearly over at school, and I should have more free time to enjoy my hardware next semester. :)

Thanks for the congrats, everyone.

T-Shirt: In my excitement over winning, I sent a PM to Apop because that is the standard procedure to claim a prize. But I forgot that shipping, name et. al was already put in when we entered! So I don't know. Apop, please bring your wisdom to us!

from what I've seen on other forums all the responsible adults have gone off to party at CES, so it might take extra days for notification and shipping.

haha, I'm still at home, and I'm a "responsible" adult, lol. Just not responsible with my money, so I wasn't able to save for a trip over there :(

dammit, I want free swag too, lol

Nope! no reply to my PM to apop or any contact from ECS
(I can wait for delivery, but I would like some acknowledgement) they were running a number of these contests on various sites so they maybe a little overwhelmed at this point. (or still hungover from CES?)

hung over from CES? I didn't even get a chance to go out drinking! ECS was e-mailed the winners info this week and they have all the products and are shipping them out. The reason bigblockmatt didn't get his drive yet is because that came out of my personal stash (meaning I bought it) and got lost during my move to my new house. It's also on the way this week. Everyone else has gotten their prizes from November.

On a side note the reason we have no contest this month is because one of the ECS winners from this month is already selling the hardware on another site. In the future we are going to make some new rules on the contests... I personally don't care if you sell the stuff, but at least wait a bit and all. The reason I started doing contests here is so people that couldn't afford the hardware they read about can have a chance to get it. I was a broke college student at one point in my life and winning some hardware would have been awesome. Seeing people winning these contests and selling them for full price on other sites is not the reason I started doing this. It is bound to happen from time and time again, but not the desired outcome and doens't look good to the companies that sponsor the Legit Forum Contests.

The whole point of these forums is to build a community. A place to help others and learn a bit too.

Off my soap box.
