Raptor + Velociraptor?

Post by stopthekilling77 »

I have a single Raptor 150GB drive, and I want to build a RAID 0 array. Problem is that people are selling their Raptors for about $150-200 when the 150GB VelociRaptor goes for about the same.

Basically, I just want to know if I can take my drive and a new VelociRaptor and build my array? Same size HDD, same RPM right?

But because of the density of the smaller platters of the velociraptor it's a whole different drive :P

I'd advise against it.

Though if you are wanting more speed etc, then just get a velociraptor and use that as your main drive.
