We had a chance to stop by the Corsair booth on the show floor of CES 2011 and had the opportunity to test drive a pair of their upcoming P3 series of SSD's in RAID 0. These drives feature a Marvell SATA 6G controller that has customized firmware and they are said to be very fast.

Not only are these drives said to be very fast, but they also have support for TRIM and very aggressive garbage collection. Corsair let us run ATTO on a pair of these drives to see what kind of performance we could expect out of a RAID 0 array.

As you can see from the image above we were able to hit 886MB/s read and 431MB/s write in ATTO with a pair of Corsair P3-256GB SSDs in RAID 0. These are very impressive performance features and it looks like the Micron C400 will have some competition. What is interesting is that we are assuming that both drives will use the same Marvell controller, but differ by the firmware and the MLC NAND Flash used.
