SSD Caught Fire at SATA Power Plug

Post by Apoptosis »

I was posting up todays review over at Corsair's Facebook Wall and noticed this:

Saturday was almost the end of the world for me. Smoke alarms do actually save lives... might want to work on your refurbs though, guys... Corsair F-120 Refurb SSD that caught fire at the SATA Power plug. That's what I get for buying a refurb I guess...
More than likely it was a PSU failure, but still pretty damn wild!

That sucks, hopefully there was no other damage to your place. I had something similar happen years go with a floppy drive that I didn't get the IDE and power plugged in correctly. Melted down the cables, floppy drive and mobo.
