How many people want RAID for SSD?

Post by AMD-Roy »

hi everyone, just curious. How many enthusiasts want high performance RAID O for SSD? Are they too expensive? Do you see a need? Would love to have comments and feedback.
thanks

Sure the need is there. SATA III drives are starting to saturate the entire SATA III port, hence why most newer highend SSD drives are stuck at roughly 500MB/s read and write. The easiest way to bypass that limit is with more drives in RAID. If you are asking from a development point then yes definitely. Just make sure that you can easily secure erase the drives and they support TRIM while in RAID.

Like the Major said, as long as it supports TRIM. SSD are still expensive but having the RAID option would be nice.
