Got a video problem.
My 295 is freezing on games.
The screen/audio freezes (total freeze) and only thing left is the reboot button.
Thought it was audio drivers, but no.
Card running cool (everything is cool in the Antec case)
Removed the 295 and ran on the 9800 only, no problem (finally loaded hl2, ep 1&2, playing maxed out)
Was hoping it might be the power supply.
Was thinking maybe hooking up a parallel power supply to power just the 295.
Is this a viable test or am I wasting my time and the 295 is trash.
Hope not, that’s a lot of trash.

Re: GTX 295 problem
It's a good power supply, so should be fine.
when you say you ran on the 9800 "only", were you running both at once?
if so, this most most likely the problem; uninstall both the ati and nv drivers and then boot with the gtx295
if you were running just the gtx295, then uninstall the drivers anyway (both ati & nv) and then run driver cleaner before installing the nvidia drivers again

Ken
I wasn't clear on the video cards. 9800 GT is an nVidia card so all I got is nVidia drivers.
However, I will reinstall the nVidia drivers to see what happens.

Re: GTX 295 problem
Loaded the latest (stable.... oops nVidia) drivers (for my XP and 7 boot drives)
I was in the process of playing HL2 EP2 when freezes occurred and now no freezes.
Going to play some more just to verify.
I had tried 186 and 191 drivers and neither worked.
A little hard to believe that it was the drivers, but hey, if it works, I'm happy.
Sounds like the 295 has some sort of sli compatibility problem???
