For SLI NVIDIA is currently recommending the following cases, and more cases could be added if the pass testing:

Coolermaster HAF 932
Thermaltake Element V
Silverstone Raven RV02
Coolermaster CM 690
Coolermaster Stacker

I have the ATCS 840, I'm sure it would be fine as well:

I can't see how that would be insufficient.

yeah my Corsair 800D has great airflow out of the box and I added 3 120mm fans to the top, so I know it's moving major air...

It will be interesting to see what the final certified cases are, but I wanted to post up what is certified (or going to be) now so our visitors can get the heads up.

I'm sure a lot of cases will handle these cards fine. A lot of manufacturers have really stepped up in the cooling department the last few years. I think the cases you want to stay away from are the old cases that still have 80mm fans or those really cheap cases that go for under $50. But I'm pretty sure that people who buy these cards, especially in SLI, will be buying a really nice case. Antec 900 Two at the very least.

They can't test every case so as long as yours is similar to the ones listed in terms of cooling and layout, it should be fine.

Not sure how they tested, but they may not have filled the whole computer with components. So if you got a front fan and the hard drive bays right behind it, you may want to switch to a higher CFM or RPM fan to compensate for a filled hard drive bay so that the air can get to the video cards.
