We got word this afternoon that NVIDIA and Best Buy have joined forces and that Best Buy is now directly selling NVIDIA Branded video cards directly to consumers. This is the first time that we have seen NVIDIA branded video cards being sold direct and we went to a few Best Buy stores in St. Louis today and sure enough we spotted the cards sitting on store shelves. We were also shocked to see a $100 price difference between two local stores in the same city. One location had the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 being sold at $199, while the other location had them at $299! We couldn't leave the store empty handed, so expect a peak inside the box here shortly.
In South County they are selling for $199
In St. Charles County they are selling for $299...
Both are the same card - NVIDIA GeForce GTS 460 1GB

Re: NVIDIA and Best Buy Join Forces To Sell NVIDIA Branded G
Funny thing is they even placed a scannable code there at the bottom so you can see just how ripped off you are getting by Best Buy/Nvidia....

well these are the same people who buy $75 HDMI cables from Best Buy so they are used to it.
