PhysX Performance Question

Post by Major_A »

I have an old 8800 GTS 320MB card running as a dedicated PhysX card in my machine. What clock setting does PhysX utilize more? Right now all the settings, Core, Shader, and Memory, are running at stock speeds. It's been so long since I used the 8800 GTS day-to-day that I don't remember it's overclocking potential.

I honestly wouldn't overclock it at all

physX doesn't require much, and I doubt you'd even notice a difference from a 9600GT to a GTX 460 acting as physX

Interesting! Wonder how my 9600GSO would do beside my GTX260. Although I do not game much on the computer would it have any effect on folding?
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:

I am guessing folding doesnt use PhysX by that response ;) I though maybe it would speed up folding.

folding has nothing to do with physX, but if you add in a GSO, you can fold on the GSO either way (may need dummy plug)
