EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2Win won't work on Intel X79

Post by Apoptosis »

EVGA sent out the GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2Win video card and I went to benchmark it on the ASUS P9X79 Deluxe motherboard with the Intel X79 Chipset with 290.36 beta drivers and found that SLI wasn't enabling.

Turns out that SLI won't work on Intel X79 due to possibly some driver issues. Just a heads up as this is a $520 video card that has been on the market for a couple months that won't work as advertised on the Intel X79 Express Chipset.

I talked to EVGA and they just said they are working with NVIDIA. I talked to NVIDIA and they were not aware of the issue and said since they weren't it wasn't slated for any of the other driver updates that are due out in 2011. That means the fix is weeks away if it's coming at all.

Just a heads up as I haven't seen this reported any place.
