Real NVIDIA GK104 Kepler Video Card PCB Pictured

Here is the first 'real' picture of a GK104 PCB with the GPU cooler removed and a clear look at the die. The die is pretty darn small and looks to be roughly twice the size of the GDDR5 memory IC's. It looks like the rumors that this core would be around 350 mm² are true.

The power connector is pretty wild:

I'm not sure why they would do that unless they were trying to do something unique with the GPU cooler as the PCB has a spot for two side by side 6-pin power connectors unless that was designed in case a third 6-pin power connector was needed. It you look at the PCB layout they have room for an 8-pin and two 6-pin connectors!

This is probably the lower end kepler. The faster kepler will use the 8-pin connector or even 2 8-pin connectors or 2 6-pin and one 8-pin.

Doesn't say anything about power requirements. One can only say that the faster the card the price, heat, power all go up.

A new picture has been posted online that shows what looks like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Ti graphics card with the final production GPU cooler installed. The GeForce GTX 670 Ti (GTX670Ti) uses the GK104 'Kepler' GPU and appears to be coming out very soon as it is being used in demos at the Game Developers Conference and now images have leaked out of the card itself. The specifications of this card are still a mystery, but we are sure that will leak online in the days to come. Odd the GTX 670 Ti images leaked out before the GTX 680! I wonder if that is a hint of what card will launch first?
